Haulage

Despite all we now know about Ireland’s downturn, figures released last week about Irish road haulage by the Central Statistics Office (CSO) made for shocking reading. Irish road hauliers transported some 148 million tonnes of goods within Ireland last year, a decrease of 40 per cent on 2008 and nine percent lower than the 1999 figure.  Read more...

McInerney / Aer Arann update

A FULL examinership hearing for the McInerney Group has been adjourned by the High Court until tomorrow. The examinership is opposed by three banks, Anglo Irish Bank, Bank of Ireland and KBC, Ms Justice Mary Finlay Geoghegan heard in the High Court.
